You can easily remove the file and place the ln -s directly into the PKGBUILD. The file /usr/bin/smartsvn is not managed by pacman.

All the actions related to icon and desktop files are automatically managed by pacman hooks.

SMARTSVN INSTALL

install file is useless and badly implemented.

  • given the simple structure of any syntevo product (I maintain also smartgit, smartsynchronize and smartcvs) everything could be easily and securely placed into /usr/lib/smartcvs instead of /opt which is general place for big and too complex to maintain packages.
  • the whole build functions is useless as the sources are automatically extracted in srcdir.
  • the empty array makedepends should be removed.
  • moreover any custom variable should be prefixed by underscores Please note: These icons may include elements and derivatives (such as logos from other organizations) which are not owned by the developers of Antü Plasma Suite, and may or may not be licensed under a compatible license.
  • the extracted variable should be removed as useless. This file is from the Antü Plasma Suite, which released it explicitly under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.
  • the _pkgver variable can be removed and replaced with $.
  • the || return 1 should be removed as every package is built with set -e which makes fail the build process whenever an error happens.
  • Hi package has some issues that could be easily fixed. I seem to have gotten into a routine of highlighting the tools I develop with, so I’ll continue that trend for a while.Error: A JNI error has occurred, please check your installation and try againĮxception in thread "main" : com/syntevo/QBootLoader has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0Īt 1(Native Method)Īt (ClassLoader.java:756)Īt (SecureClassLoader.java:142)Īt (URLClassLoader.java:468)Īt $100(URLClassLoader.java:74)Īt $1.run(URLClassLoader.java:369)Īt $1.run(URLClassLoader.java:363)Īt (Native Method)Īt (URLClassLoader.java:362)Īt (ClassLoader.java:418)Īt $AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:352)Īt (ClassLoader.java:351)Īt (LauncherHelper.java:601) (And yes, Smart has shell integration if you still want it.)Īnd there’s my pitch. But I’ve been using the free version for a couple years now and I’m not planning on going back to Tortoise any time soon.

    SMARTSVN PRO

And I won’t lie, at $70 USD the pro license is a bit steep. The people at Syntevo were nice enough to kick a pro license my way, which adds a bunch of features - I’m looking forward to Perforce style change sets. And as a simple practical matter, it keeps my Subversion windows separate from my Explorer windows in the taskbar. I also like SmartSVN’s project management, so that I don’t have to go hunting through the filesystem to pull up projects. The SVN client SmartSVN is project centric, runs on all major operating systems and targets at professional developers to make their daily work. The menu structure is also a lot nicer to work with than one giant embedded shell menu. SmartSVN is a powerful, graphical client for the widely used and successful Open Source version control system Subversion (SVN). Why is a stand-alone client better? I can see a lot more information about the repository at once for starters, like the revision history, working copy status (with all kinds of sort options), my recent transactions, etc.

I went looking for a stand-alone SVN client and tried a couple (RapidSVN comes to mind) before settling on SmartSVN. Visual Studio integration is pointless when half your files aren’t in VS anyway, and Explorer was never designed to be Subversion. I’m not going to criticize them from a technical standpoint, but what it comes down to is this - integration sucks.

    SMARTSVN ARCHIVE

If this is the case it is usually found in the full download archive itself.

    SMARTSVN SERIAL

I’ve used Tortoise a lot, as well as the VS plugins AnkhSVN and VisualSVN. Many downloads like Smartsvn Enterprise 6.5.6 may also include a crack, serial number, unlock code, cd key or keygen (key generator). I don’t like command line for the majority of the work though, so I stick to SmartSVN. SmartSVN is available in three different editions: A free Foundation edition with fewer features and two commercial editions called Professional and Enterprise with the full feature set.

    SMARTSVN TRIAL

The app operates in SmartSVN Professional trial mode for 30 days - after which it automatically becomes SmartSVN Foundation freeware with professional features disabled. Now I like command line from time to time too, and for that I use SlikSVN under Windows. SmartSVN provides a similar Explorer integration, but also can be used as a standalone SVN client for different platforms. The program comes in two editions: SmartSVN Foundation (freeware) and SmartSVN Professional (commercial). I believe that most people use either the command line ‘svn’ tool, or TortoiseSVN. SmartSVN is my go-to tool for Subversion work.
